Jewish Book Festival presents Bonnie Buratti

7:30PM - 9:00PM

Monrovia Public Library 321 S. Myrtle Avenue
Monrovia, CA 91016

Is there water on Mars? Are Saturn’s moons warmer than we thought? What is that stuff spewing out? Join PJTC’s own Bonnie Buratti, leading planetary astronomer at JPL, on a personal tour of the Solar System from Mercury to Pluto and beyond. Buratti has studied comets, asteroids, moons and planets ever since Voyager. Go behind the scenes with the people and questions driving NASA’s missions. Meet astronomers from Galileo to Neil deGrasse Tyson and Steven Squyres, and keen observers from Rashi to the Dalai Lama. Bring your curiosity and your spacestruck older kids and discover what space exploration is really like.

Dr. Bonnie J. Buratti has worked on or led science teams for the Voyager, Cassini-Huygens, New Horizons and Rosetta missions and has an asteroid named in her honor.
