50 Million Books!

Gan Katan is our special bi-monthly class for infants, toddlers, and their grown-ups. Celebrate Shabbat, holidays, and each other through stories, music, food, and crafts. Join us on Friday mornings from 10-11:30 a.m.

PJ Library engages Jewish families with children ages 6 months through 8 years with Jewish ideas and conversations through the introduction of books, music and other media. The aim of PJ Library is to enhance Jewish identity, increase engagement with Jewish life and provide an entry point into our community. In addition to the books, creative programs help families connect with one another and create a community of their own.

PJ Our Way is designed with the tween set in mind. When signing up for PJ Our Way, children ages 9-12 are provided with a secure website where they choose from among four books each month. Book reviews written by peers can help make the choice easier. Materials written for parents also help guide the process.

About PJ Library from PJLibrary.org

We don't need to tell you that reading to your children is important. Study after study has shown it impacts a child’s development. Even the mere presence of books in a home increases the level of education they can reach.

But finding the right books and making the time to read as a family can be hard. That’s where PJ Library comes in.

PJ Library sends free Jewish children's books to families across the world every month. We know that something magical happens when parents sit down together to read with their children. PJ Library shares Jewish stories that can help your family talk together about values and traditions that are important to you.

A program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, PJ Library is made possible through partnerships with philanthropists and local Jewish organizations. Families raising kids from birth through 8 years old with Judaism as part of their lives, are welcome to sign up. PJ Library welcomes all Jewish families, whatever your background, knowledge, family make-up, or observance may be.

Through our partners around North America, we also offer activities for your family — because you’ve got to get out of the house and meet new people sometimes.

Your children are learning about the world around them through the stories they hear. PJ Library books can bring Jewish ideas and inspiration for you and your children to share together.
