Jewish Cooking Connection

Join us as we explore the wide variety of Jewish foods shared and prepared by talented cooks and bakers in the Greater San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys.

About Us:  Jewish Cooking Connection

Welcome to the Jewish Cooking Connection, a new, monthly cooking show presented by the Jewish Federation of the Greater San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys' Cultural Arts Program. One of the things that connect Jewish people is food!  Wherever Jews have lived in the world, local cuisine was adopted and adapted to the Jewish holidays, traditions, and to comply with Kosher dietary laws. This resulted in amazing cuisine – rich in flavor, variety, and versatility.

During our Cooking Connection series, we will travel around the greater San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys, going inside home and temple kitchens, sharing a wide variety of Jewish foods from our talented Ashkenazi, Sephardic, and Mizrahi cooks and bakers. Our first series will focus on specific foods for Jewish Holiday celebrations.

We hope you will enjoy learning more about our wonderful international Jewish cuisine and seeing some of your friends and neighbors share their favorite family recipes and the stories behind them.

Each recipe – complete with nutrition information – and show videos will be posted here. We hope you will visit our webpage often to see what’s new and share your thoughts and ideas with us.

This is another great opportunity to connect with the broader Jewish community through something that is of interest to everyone!  Because really, who doesn’t like to eat???
