Welcome to PJ Library Corner

We are thrilled that our Jewish Federation has partnered with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation to bring PJ Library and PJ Our Way to our community. Each month free, age-appropriate, award-winning books of Jewish content are mailed to families raising Jewish Children.

For more information, contact Debby Singer, our PJ Library & PJ OurWay Program Coordinator at (626) 445-0810 or dsinger@jewishsgpv.org.

GET TOGETHERS

To expand PJ Library’s programming reach into our far flung community, we are inviting our families to do some mini-programming with friends on their own. From now until April 30, 2019 PJ Library is accepting applications from current PJ Library or PJ Our Way families to create and host a social activity for two or more families. These activities can be holiday or Shabbat related or service projects or parent-only or almost anything that brings folks together in a fun way. These events need to take place by the end of May 2019 and the host family will be eligible to receive $100 from PJ Library for expenses incurred.

Our vision is that these Get Togethers will bring families together and help them create a caring community of their own.

PJ Library engages Jewish families with children ages 6 months through 8 years with Jewish ideas and conversations through the introduction of books, music and other media. The aim of PJ Library is to enhance Jewish identity, increase engagement with Jewish life and provide an entry point into our community. In addition to the books, creative programs help families connect with one another and create a community of their own.

Sign up today for PJ Our Way

PJ Our Way is designed with the tween set in mind. When signing up for PJ Our Way, children ages 9-11 are provided with a secure website where they choose from among four books each month. Book reviews written by peers can help make the choice easier. Materials written for parents also help guide the process. PJ Our Way participants are invited to join our Kid’s Club which meets several times during the year.
